About Us
Not Everything
is Black & White
If small is beautiful, we are trying to be that yet again. Unlearning, and learning. Deschooling our clogged, cliched, cacophonous minds. Reopen the windows of enlightenment. Let the north wind blow in Knock softly, on the doors of perception. Read behind and within the written word, the image, the pauses, the silences. Discover the unstated nuance, the stated revelation, the argument and the analysis. Never underestimate the reader. Especially ordinary folks on the margins of the mainstream. The margin is the mainstream, let’s remember that always. From the margin, the resurrection must will begin.
We are editors, journalists, writers, filmmakers, students, teachers, graphic designers, bloggers, fact-checkers, photographers, sound editors, cinematographers, organic farmers, climate change, human rights and forest rights workers, Free Palestine groups, novelists, researchers, travelers, wonderers, civil society activists, poets and philosophers. We are still finding our way in the maze. We can see the twinkle of the evening star. We can smell the ink, the newsprint, see the big picture, sense the story. We are instinct, we are thought-systems. We will be balanced, objective, factual, accountable, transparent. We are complex, we want to be simple. Lucid. Luminescent. We are stardust, and we are golden. We are light, lightness, looking for enlightenment. We stand on the margins, with the margins. We stand with Palestine. Not Israel.
Join us. Write to us, for us. Help us, in solidarity and friendship. Give us ideas, story pitches, ground reports. A little money, if you don’t mind. Share our link, our stories and essays, our freedom flotilla, our media platform, tell your friends and family, bring us to your home, on your mobiles and laptops, near your study table and the table lamp of night stories. We assure you, we will be different, original, authentic. Offbeat and free of prejudice and cliches. We have no corporate or political links. We believe in the Indian Constitution.
